How to apply
The best way to apply for these programs is to check the research groups for PhD openings you are interested in and/or contact the faculty members of your choice directly. After being accepted by the PhD advisor you can join the research group. At the beginning of the project you request the admission to the program at the Student Office of the University of Basel.
Prerequisites
The candidates are required to have a master’s degree in the relevant field and show a good proficiency in English (Level B2).
Biomedical Engineering: Master's degree in Medicine, Dental Medicine, Biomedical Engineering or a master's degree of the Phil.-Nat. Fakultät (University of Basel)
Medical and Health Ethics: Master's degree (University of Basel)
Nursing Science: Master's degree in Nursing Science or Medicine (University of Basel) or other degree in Health Sciences
Sports Science: Master's degree in Exercise and Health Sciences or Sports Sciences (University of Basel)
A master's degree (or equivalent) of another university is subject to approval by the Promotionsausschuss.
