New Department of Biomedicine building enters shell construction phase
Following the demolition of the previous building and the excavation of the building pit, the foundations of the spectacular building for the Department of Biomedicine were recently laid. A new, exciting construction phase is now beginning with the shell construction, in which the entire work is becoming more and more recognizable.
The photo shows the concrete walls and passages of the second basement floor as well as the formwork for the elevator shafts. Finished staircase elements are waiting to be inserted like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle from calendar week 45. By the end of the year, the formwork should be up to the lower edge of the first floor. The entire shell construction should be completed within 12 months.
Up-to-date information can be found on the website of the new Biomedicine building.
