Organization
The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Basel is constantly optimizing the organization of an extensive structure of institutions and individuals in order to ensure the best possible education and research. The core aspects of this strategy are (1) close and substantial cooperation, (2) an agile structure that can react quickly to new challenges, and (3) the optimal use of our resources in the sense of a highly synergetic network.
The governing bodies of the Faculty of Medicine are the Faculty Assembly, the Faculty Committee and the Faculty Board. The Faculty is supported by the Dean's Staff, permanent committees and temporary committees (structural, appointment or project committees, etc.). As in all faculties and departments at the University of Basel, employees are organized into staff groups.
