The University Center for Dental Medicine Basel turns 100!
The Volkszahnklinik for adults was founded in Basel in 1924. Because it was later merged with the school dental clinic and the dental department of the University Hospital into the University Center for Dental Medicine Basel (UZB), the UZB will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2024 with a series of events.
From April 15 to August 4, for example, there will be a specially designed anniversary streetcar. In a competition, the first 100 explorers who post a picture of the UZB streetcar on social media from April 22 can win an ultrasonic toothbrush. On June 1, a symposium will be held under the motto "Yesterday, today, tomorrow - dentistry in transition". On October 19, the public is invited to an open day. And that's not all!
