The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Basel and the University Hospital Basel are looking to fill the position of a Professor of Nephrology. This position is linked to the Head of the Clinic for Nephrology and Transplantation Immunology.
Due to the retirement of the current position holder at the end of May 2024, the professorship for nephrology will be vacant. The University Clinic for Nephrology and Transplantation Immunology at the University Hospital Basel guarantees general and specialized nephrological universitary care for the entire region of northwestern Switzerland and beyond. The research associated with this clinic has an excellent reputation both nationally and internationally. The research focus of the professorship should be in the field of kidney transplantation, preferably with a focus on immunological tolerance or immune modulation.
