Timeline of a PhD

Deadlines
The PhD Board of (Medical) Faculty (Promotionsausschuss) meets regulary to process applications and check the status of the PhD students. The student office requires applications at least three weeks in advance. The Dean's office expects the documents for the meetings, such as progress reports and manuscripts, two weeks in advance.
